Windstopper� fabric

It achieves this through utilising a thin membrane which acts as a barrier to incoming cold air, thus totally protecting you against the wind.

Unlike some windproofing coatings that are used, Windstopper� material offers extremely uniform protection across the whole garment. Musto clothing which uses it thus performs consistently at a high level, totally sheltering you from cold winds and the convective heat loss that occurs as a result.

As well as being windproof, Musto clothing with the Windstopper� fabric is also highly breathable. The membrane is constructed in such a way that it has a negligible resistance to moisture vapour, which allows perspiration to move out of the clothing into the air. This means the air that is kept within the clothing is warm and dry, allowing you to remain really cosy and comfortable, even in windy weather conditions.

This extent of this warming effect has been measured by the developers of the Windstopper� fabric. It was found that Windstopper� clothing offers 2.5 times more thermal insulation than clothing without any level of windproofing. You can therefore be confident of the high level of comfort and warmth afforded by Mustos range of shooting wear that utilises this technology.
