Various riding equipment including eight sets of racing colours are to be auctioned off next week in aid of the T4Toby trust.

Diagnosed with a type four brain tumour earlier this year, ten-year old Toby has already undergone aggressive chemo and radiotherapy but now needs specialist proton therapy which is not available in the UK. A lover of sports, the idea to auction the specialist horse riding equipment stems from Toby's particular enthusiasm for horse riding.

In total, a massive £180,000 needs to be raised to send Toby to Boston in America to undergo the treatment. So far £120,000 has already been raised leaving another £60,000 needing to be raised.

The horse racing silks are to go under the hammer next Tuesday, 25th August on the first day of the Doncaster Bloodstock's St Leger sales. The British Horseracing Association has given a year's registration for each set and the silks have been donated by the manufacturers.
The colours on auction are:

  • Emerald green, brown epaulets

  • Light blue, royal blue armlets

  • Royal blue, dark green armlets

  • Dark green, royal blue armlets

  • Emerald green, brown armlets

  • Light blue, purple armlets

All the proceeds from the sale of the riding equipment will go to the charity.
