The Horse Trust will be holding a horse tack and horse rugs sale on Saturday 11th September, at its Buckinghamshire sanctuary.

The charity sale is to raise funds for the care of horses living there, which include those rescued from Spindles Farm.  A similar sale last year raised £3,000 which equates to one horse's annual keep at the sanctuary.

Susan Lewis, a spokesperson for the charity commented:

"This is a great opportunity for horse owners to pick up an affordable high-quality rug or tack, at the same time as supporting the Spindles Farm horses."

The trust currently cares for 10 horses, ponies and donkeys that came from Spindles Farm in 2008.

The horse rug and horse tack sale takes place at the Home of Rest for Horses, Slad Lane, Speen, Princes Risborough, HP27 0PP between 12pm and 4pm on 11th September.
