Better wrap up warm in some equestrian clothing ready for a riding holiday out on the Yorkshire moors as a new company has been set up to promote Yorkshire riding routes.
Holidays from Ride Yorkshire was first thought of when creators, John Yeomans and Janet Cochrane were out riding in the area. Together with Catherine Fairburn and Kate Dashper, they are now running riding holidays over three routes in Yorkshire.
Trips are usually around 20 miles per day so wrapping up in warm equestrian clothing is a must over the moors. Riders bring there own horses, however horses can be sourced if need be to ride in the beautiful area.
Mr Yeomans said: “We believe Yorkshire is the best place for leisure riding in the world and we want to promote it as such,”
“According to an H&H survey North Yorkshire alone is the third ‘horsiest’ county in the UK and we have superb trail riding and hacking.”
Accommodation is available along the way with farm B&B’s offering grazing and stabling. Holiday packages start at £95 per day and for more information please visit www.rideyorkshire.org
