New plans for a venue on the Isle of Wight which could potentially hold world class equestrian events have recently been unveiled. Brickfields Horse Country could be transformed into a state of the art equestrian themed holiday centre, and planning is being sought for 23 log cabins, a swimming pool and a sauna on site.
"The development sets out to establish a vibrant holiday business linked to the current equestrian business already in operation. It will offer another holiday concept for the island and broaden the options.

“The proposal will offer a very attractive venue for equestrian types. It is anticipated these holiday visitors will be a high-value, high-spending clientele. This will benefit the local economy," stated the business plan provided by the applicant.

The Swallow Group, which currently runs other businesses across the island, will be working with Brickfields owner Matt Legge to develop the exiting plans for new equestrian equipment such as an extended event area and stables.

The development will open up a new level of facilities on the Isle of Wight and in Hampshire which will not just draw in holiday makers but hopefully competitors alike.
