As we enter 2007, the pony racing season is just several short weeks away for young riders across the Devon and Cornwall area.

They will take part in seven six-furlong races in total, all sponsored by the horse riding helmet and equestrian safety manufacturer Charles Owen. The races will take place between February 4th and June 16th this year and prizes will be awarded on the last day of racing.

The riders who take part in point-to-point pony racing on a national level will each get a little something from Charles Owen, although it is not known whether this will be horse equipment, equestrian clothing, accessories – or something else altogether.

Equestrians who are aged 9 to 15 and are interested in taking part in Charles Owen pony racing can qualify to compete by either attending four pony club rallies or four hunting meets.
