Barbour proves to be a popular choice for festival goers

Barbour jackets were in heavy demand for the 2007 Glastonbury festival. With the British summertime being at its erratic best, the Barbour country clothing company saw a substantial rise in sales, especially for its iconic Barbour Border jacket.

The Border wax jacket is a longer length style than the average rain coat, and at only 6oz it isn’t as heavy and cumbersome as a lot of the rival wax coats you can get.

The features of the Border make it ideal for festival goers; the longer length styling means as well as wearing it, you can sit on it, sleep on it and if the weather permits, sunbathe in it. Plus with capacious bellow pockets, there is enough room to store all your festival essentials.

It seems that the de rigueur for the summer festival season is not the denim hot pants and cowboy hats of yesteryear; instead a sturdy pair of Hunter wellies and a Barbour wax jacket will have you looking stylish and most of all you warm and dry.
