Charles Owen extends pony racing support

Charles Owen has extended its support of pony racing following the terrific reception of the Charles Owen Pony Racing series in 2006.

Last season the riding hat manufacturer sponsored pony racing events located at prestigious tracks such as Aintree and Newmarket.

The events, which are aimed at children aged 9 to 11, have proven extremely successful and have fuelled a great deal of interest in the sport of pony racing.

The popularity of the pony racing series has prompted many to believe that pony racing is currently the fastest growing equestrian sport in the UK, and there are high hopes that it will create some of the greatest horse riding stars of the future.

Charles Owen has taken the step of furthering its support and promotion of pony racing by sponsoring the 2007 point to point series. There will be around 70 Charles Owen Point to Point races through the year which offer talented youngsters the chance to take the first steps to a career in horse racing.
