Charles Owen nominated for Local Design award

Charles Owen, the famous manufacturer of horse riding hats and other equestrian safety clothing, has been put forward for an award by the Wrexham Area Civic Society.

The company has been nominated for the Local Design award for the Charles Owen factory, which is located on a Wrexham industrial park.

It is not the first time that Charles Owen has been praised by the Wrexham Area Civic Society. In 1994, it received an award from the society for making "a significant contribution to the quality of the environment' for its factory, which transformed a wasteland into a vibrant area that promotes wildlife and plant life.

The Local Design award will be presented by the Civic Trust for Wales in a prestigious joint ceremony with the Cadw Access Award. Charles Owen will attend the event, which is due to take place on March 21st 2007 in Swansea's National Waterfront Museum.
