Horse riding family offers unique livery service

A horse riding family from Worcester claims to have invented a new kind of livery service, tailored to suit the needs of equestrians who work irregular hours.

Called ‘assisted livery’, the scheme is already in full swing at Eastbury Manor yard.

Mother Sue Rogers came up with the idea after spending years juggling her love of horse riding and her career as a nurse.

“Assisted livery … means offering a flexible service for an owner who cannot get to their horse the same time every day,” she explained.

“For example, if they are working a shift that means they cannot turn out in the morning and do the stable, we will do that for them. Then they can get the horse in during the evening.”

“The aim is to be as flexible as the owner needs,” she added.

Sue’s lifelong experience of horse riding and the unique service her family offers should ensure Eastbury’s 13 boxes are kept in constant demand.
