BHS horse riding membership at an all time high

Horse riding enthusiasts throughout the UK have managed to swell membership of the British Horse Society to an all time high.

After recently making a presentation to its 66,000th member, membership has since increased to 67,000, which just goes to show the strength of equestrianism and horse riding in the UK. The growth of membership was put down to the way the British Horse Society has modernised the services it provides to appeal to the wider equestrian world.

Part of the swell of success is put down to the inclusion of the British Riding Club members, which makes the total membership stand at an impressive 105,000.

However, as BHS chief executive Graham Cory states: “We must be careful not to become complacent and assume this healthy increase will continue automatically, when in fact it is only sustained effort by staff and volunteers which has brought it about.”
