Horse tack stolen from RDA centreHome -> News -> Horse tack stolen from horse riding for the disabled centre in bedfordshireA horse riding centre for disabled riders in Bedfordshire has had to temporarily close down after around £10,000 worth of horse tack was stolen. The groom at the stables noted how nine sets of horse tack and six saddles had been taken. She commented: “It’s pretty mean. There’s a huge sign saying that we’re a disabled school. We’ve had to close until we receive insurance money.” The horse riding school has now upped its security by installing a steel door and reinforcing the windows of the tackroom with bars to help prevent any repeat thefts. The Riding for the Disabled (RDA) school in Bromham caters for over 100 disabled children and adults and the forced temporary closure is bound to have ramifications to the people that go there to ride and rehabilitate themselves. If you have any information that may help find the culprits call the police on 01234 841212. |
