Charles Owen hat credited with saving girl's lifeHome -> News -> Mum puts girls survival down to charles owen hatAn American lady has told of her belief that a Charles Owen riding hat prevented her 14-year-old daughter from suffering serious injury in a fall. The Californian woman had been watching her daughter ride the normally calm and quiet family horse in a school when the accident occurred. As the 14-year-old brought the gelding to a halt, he suddenly bucked twice in quick succession, sending the girl flying through the air. The young equestrian landed on her head, which was protected by a Charles Owen GR8 helmet. Although she suffered concussion, a CT scan revealed that she did not have any permanent head injury. Her mother told Charles Owen: "I credit the helmet (GR8) with saving her life and helping to minimise injury." |
