A new online ITV video channel called "Grassroots" will be launching in September with equestrianism as one of its four focus sports. Equestrianism together with football, rugby union and netball, will form part of ITV local; a community website that includes local news, weather, films and documentaries.

Director of content for ITV local, Lindsay Charlton said: “We’re also interested in coaching tips, people showing off their skills and even the antics of supporters.

So if you're an equestrian athlete, whether show jumper, eventer, or dressage supreme or maybe you have a special coaching tip or way of getting your horse tack, saddles and bridles looking spotless, then the new ITV grassroots video site is a platform for you to show your talent.

As Lindsay states: "Every week there are hundreds of football and rugby matches, netball games and equestrian events. But with limited television airtime means only a fraction of what is going on actually makes it to the screen."
