Olympia gets set to wow equestrian crowds.Home -> News -> Equestrians to flood LondonThe UK equestrian fraternity will be hitting London next week (17-22 December 2007) to watch some of the best dressage and show jumping riders the world has to offer at Olympia. It is set to be a vintage year with 9 out of the 10 top show jumpers in the world all vying for their place on the leader board for their respective classes. Names such as Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, Ludger Beerbaum and Markus Fuchs will be pitting their show jumping skills against the best Britain has to offer. As well as the show jumping stars, some of dressage’s top names will also be competing in the FEI World Cup Dressage Qualifier. Anky van Grunsven will be looking to solidify her 2005 top spot but will have to fend off competition from the likes of Kyra Kyrklund, Laura Bechtolsheimer and Britain’s very own Steph Croxford and Carl Hester. As the show director for Olympia stated: “Olympia always attracts world class entries but even by our already high standards we will have a glittering line-up of stars at this year’s show.” Of course, it is not only the equestrian stars that people will be going to Olympia for. The myriad of horse tack shops selling all manner of saddles, bridles, rugs, riding jackets and riding boots will no doubt be of service to those wishing to stock up on last minute Christmas shopping.
