Stubben introduce new saddle seat technologyHome -> News -> New Stubben Biomex saddleAs one of the all time market leaders in the saddle and horse tack world Stubben has now introduced a new type of saddle seat that is available on its Genesis saddle range. The Stubben Biomex seat is a collaborative project with the Biomex technology centre in St Moritz, Switzerland, together with support from a number of professional horse riders. The Biomex technology centre ‘Klinic Gut’ is a hospital that leads the field in specialist orthopaedic and accident care specifically relating to sporting activities. The idea behind the saddle seat is to ensure the rider sits in the correct posture, thus allowing them to ride in a soft, comfortable position and alleviate strain on the back. It does this by having two kidney shaped pads on the saddle seat which absorb impact and in turn reduce and relieve spinal stress. Scientific comparisons between a Stubben Biomex saddle seat and a conventional saddle show that the Biomex seat provides a greater relief in and around the seat bone are surrounding soft tissues. |
