Casual riding jackets

Hacking jackets

Tweed is used to make traditional hacking jackets, although it is sometimes the preferred type of jacket in low level dressage competitions as well. Tweed is a rough woollen material that is extremely durable and wind-resistant, and tweed jackets normally have a waterproof lining, making them ideal for protecting the rider from the elements.

Tweed comes in several designs, such as check, twill, and herringbone, and tweed riding jackets are usually brown, grey, or beige. We have an extensive range of smart tweed jackets in sizes and styles for all riders.

Show jackets

Jackets required in most dressage competitions are black or navy blue show jackets. Traditionally, these have been all black, but some ladies find that navy blue is more becoming. Some riders prefer a more modern look, with buttons or piping highlighted in silver or gold.
