Instead, a composite material is used because it is able to retain strong and durable yet amazingly flexible year after year, unlike wooden saddle trees which may warp or become damaged by water. Although this may sound complicated, its purpose is very simple: shock absorption. This design means that shocks are safely dispersed across a wide area, which is much better for a horses back than many other saddle designs. On top of this, its action also aids in keeping you and your horse in harmony of movement, thereby improving your performance.
