The Kieffer Arlene jumping saddle is one of the most sought-after close contact jumping saddles on the market. Its flat seat combined with Kieffer’s new ‘Excellent’ saddle tree ensures perfect balance and harmony between horse and rider.

The Arlene jumping saddle is unlike any saddle on the market today as it uses the much looked for specifics of close contact to the very highest order. It is said that ‘almost nothing will be between your legs and the horse’.

Such statements are backed up because of the special way the flat panel lies perfectly on the horse's back, thus having the effect of riding as one with the horse. In this way your leg position and aids can be used with maximum effect in order to control the horse and have it jumping like you’ve never felt before.

The Kieffer Arlene is crafted with a flat seat and a square cantle, which means that the rider, whether eventing or showjumping, is able to use the saddle to their best advantage, be it sliding back in the saddle as you go down a drop fence, or driving the horse forward as you approach a water tray. What’s more, it is available in two seat sizes, 17” or 18”, to accommodate different body types.

The Arlene saddle tree is as innovative as any we have come across here at Dogwood. Crafted from PPH-synthetic, the tree has a whole cut in the middle which is covered with a special membrane. This helps to protect the back of both horse and rider, and gives a slight bouncing effect and soft, pillowy feel which adapts to each individual rider’s unique position. In addition, like all Kieffer saddles, the tree can be specially adjusted to precisely fit your own horse.
