Wider and shorter than the Original Hunter, the Hunter Huntress features a nylon lining for warmth and a thick cushioned footbed for comfort. This is a perfect women’s Wellington for all weather and general use.
The Hunter Huntress is an attractive, wide-fit welly boot just for ladies. Designed to be able to withstand all types of ground conditions, it is a general use boot that is a perfect wear, whatever the weather. It is slightly shorter than traditional Wellington boots at a height of 36 cm. It is 100% waterproof as it is made from natural rubber, providing full protection from splashes. Its nylon lining encourages breathability and the footbed is cushioned, allowing all day long comfortable wear. Available in green or navy, this wider, shorter fit Wellington is an attractive alternative to the traditional knee-length wellie boot. It is a great representative from the fabulous range of Hunter Wellington Boots. |

Giving Welly with Hunter Wellington boots
Since the launch of the green Hunter Wellington boot in 1954, millions of pairs have been sold and they have become a distinctive symbol of rural life in Britain. In 2004, Hunter decided to celebrate the 50th anniversary of green wellies but did not want to have a typical celebration such as a party.
Giving Welly campaign
The Giving Welly campaign was the celebration Hunter chose. They selected 8 charities and assigned a different coloured Hunter Wellington boot to each one. For every coloured welly boot sold, Hunter would donate some money to charity. Half of this money would go to the charity of the colour rubber boot sold and half would be split equally between the remainder of the charities. This ensures that if one colour Hunter Wellington boot was more popular than the rest, all the charities would still benefit.
These are charities supported and their respective colour of welly boot:
- Countryside Foundation for Education - children's wellies of all colours
- Marie Curie Cancer Care - yellow wellies
- The British Horse Society - black wellies
- Woodland Trust - aubergine wellies
- The Game Conservancy Trust - navy blue wellies
- British Lung Foundation - red wellies
- Rainbow Trust Children's Charity - baby blue wellies
- Breast Cancer Haven - pink wellies
The campaign ran officially from July 2004 to December 2005 and almost 70,000 pairs of Hunter Wellington boots were sold with a total of over £242,000 being raised for charity. All the charities received between £19,000 and £52,000 and the campaign was deemed a fantastic success.
