Dogwood have one of the largest stocks of handmade boots from De Niro, Brogini, Sergio Grasso, Tredstep, Tuffa, Blasi Italia and Konigs. Our innovative approach to supplying perfectly fitting riding boots we believe will both surprise and definitely delight you. Follow the easy step guides and measuring tables on the individual product pages to help you through the process in the comfort of your own home. The long and the short of riding boots at Dogwood We have three types of riding boots; jodhpur boots, long riding boots and mucking out boots (otherwise known as Muckers), all made from the finest materials, and guaranteed to be a perfect fit: Long riding boots are the most traditional choice and will protect your legs and ankles while riding, preventing any chaffing and decreasing the likelihood of leg injury in a horse riding accident. They will also shield you from exposure to wet weather conditions which can leave your legs wet, cold and tired while your jodhpurs become caked in mud. Our long riding boots are available in a variety of styles, colours and materials to appeal to every taste. We offer the finest quality long leather riding boots to rubber riding boots for long lasting durability and marvellous value for money.
Jodhpur boots are a popular alternative to traditional riding boots and are now often worn while eventing. Ankle boots with their cushioned soles offer day-long comfort whether you are out horse riding or back at the stables. Honeycombed elastic gussets allow you to get your boots on and off without difficulty and hoof proof toe protection will guard your feet. Our jodhpur boots are made from the finest, quick drying leather that can be brushed clean with ease. Jodhpur boots are suitable for riding rain or shine, allowing you to move and ride in comfort. If wearing jodhpur boots to ride you may opt to wear half chaps or gaiters. Half chaps provide coverage from the knee to the ankle and then strap securely under your boots. These can protect the lower leg while riding and prevent your jodhpurs from rising up while on horse back. Or you may prefer to wear gaiters which are similar to half chaps but fit flush to the leg, like long riding boots. We have a range of quality riding chaps and gaiters to choose from in our equestrian clothing collection.
Muckers You don't want to damage your fine leather riding boots while attending to duties around the yard so we can provide you with an inexpensive alternative. Our muckers are made from the hardest wearing materials and are triple sealed to provide extra protection. They are easy to wipe clean and have thick, non slip rubber soles, providing superb grip in slippery conditions.
Caring for your riding boots We recommend that you should regularly clean and polish your riding boots to keep them in optimum condition. Storing them in a boot bag can also prevent them from being damaged when they are not in use and is a practical way to transport them from home to the riding stables.
