To the same fabulous design as the Cesare Dress boot, the De Niro Cesare with oxford top is a classic brown topped riding boot that is favoured by professional show jumpers, eventers and the hunt fraternity.

Cesare with Oxford Top

You can’t watch a show jumping competition without seeing a pair of brown topped riding boots; even the great man himself John Whitaker rides in a pair of brown topped De Niro boots. What better endorsement could you ask for?

The Cesare with oxford top is crafted in Italy by master craftsmen that take pride in every single detail of every boot they create. It is this all encompassing pride and attention to detail that has won people over time and time again to the De Niro boot company.

The De Niro Cesare is crafted from full grain calfskin both on the upper and in the inner lining and it is this that ensures the exceptional comfort of each De Niro riding boot.

A full length rear zip aids the wearer in the donning and doffing which means they’ll be no need to struggle with boot pulls and the like to try and get them on or off.

The oxford topped Cesare has a leather insole and the world leading specialist ‘Vibram’ sole. The combination of a classic leather riding boot with the technologically advanced Vibram sole means this De Niro boot takes the favourable attributes of both the old and the new.

For a riding boot that exudes quality both in feel, looks, raw material and craftsmanship, then the De Niro Cesare with oxford top is the boot for you.

Due to the exclusivity of this boot it is not a standard stocked item. From ordering there will be approximately a 6-8 week wait whilst the boot is being hand crafted and sent over from the De Niro’s workshop in Italy.

A comparison between Sergio Grasso and Brogini riding boots

As horse riding is such an active sport, it requires specialist equestrian clothing which has been designed with life in the saddle in mind. Jodhpurs, riding boots and riding gloves are all part of standard riding equipment which is especially styled to offer improved safety, grip and comfort to the rider.

Riding boots are one part of equestrian equipment which riders can get particularly attached to. A good pair of riding boots may be a little uncomfortable to wear in but will last the rider for quite some time. However, a truly great pair of riding boots will have the worn in feeling from the first moment that you put them on, and have soles which are incredibly durable.

There are many different types of riding boots which offer varying degrees of greatness in the equestrian market. However, we are committed to bringing you only the finest of this extensive range, which includes the esteemed brands of Sergio Grasso and Brogini. These gorgeous Italian riding boots are truly the best of the best.

Leather riding boots

Both Sergio Grasso and Brogini produce fine leather riding boots which are ideal for both competition and everyday wear. Their materials differ slightly though, with Brogini including both French leather and Italian leather in its range of long riding boots, whilst Sergio Grasso keeps the source of its gorgeous Nappa and calfskin leather a mystery. However what is evident from the beautiful looks and luxurious textures of the manufacturers respective riding boots is that both select only the finest materials for their footwear.

Both Sergio Grasso and Brogini draw upon the talents of Italian craftsmen in the creation of their riding boot collection. There is a remarkable style and elegance found in Italian boots which really marks them out as being something special, and the exceptional level of craftsmanship which goes into these products gives them a beautiful finish and high durability.

A design feature upon which Sergio Grasso and Brogini both agree is that of the full length zip. Traditionally, long riding boots were very difficult to get on and off because they hugged the lower leg so closely. However, the technical designers at both Sergio Grasso and Brogini have managed to work around this problem by inserting a full length zip at the rear of the long riding boot, whilst retaining the close fit and elegant looks.

The soles are a very important aspect of a riding boot, as they must be specially designed to work in the stirrups as well as on the ground. It is in this area where Sergio Grasso and Brogini take different approaches to their design. Sergio Grasso chooses to make its long riding boots incredibly durable with the combination of leather and rubber in the soles. These materials are then stitched with hardy thread, ensuring that the rider will enjoy many years of use. On the other hand, Brogini has developed a sole which is extremely durable but which can also be easily repaired.
