Where can one start, actually I’ll just give you a minute to admire it… Ok, ready? Quite possibly one of the most fashionable womens Wellington boot, the Aigle Bergen is a rubber boot of such outstanding looks and craftsmanship that it almost would seem a shame to get it wet and muddy!

Bergen

Calling all fashionistas of the world, all women who choose to not substitute style over practicality, all those ladies that like to look their best both in and out of the city, we bring to you…drum roll please, the Aigle Bergen ladies laced Wellington boot…I thank you!

This full length, lace up natural rubber Wellington boot emanates style as well as practicality, and that’s no mean feat in such a practical piece of footwear. Put it this way, if the Sex and the City girls had to go on a country trip, my money would be on them wearing a pair of Aigle Bergen’s.

Featuring a high grip, self cleaning sole, polyamide jersey cotton lining and a waterproof gusset behind the lacing, the Bergen has all areas covered – grip, looks and waterproof. The clever use of the waterproof gusset means that there is no chance of water creeping into the boot between the lacing, as even if it’s unlaced, the boot is 100% waterproof.

The Aigle Bergen is an extremely popular boot and as such stocks are limited; for your chance to own a pair… “She who hesitates…”

The Bergen is available in black or brown.

Wellington boots all over the world

Wellington boots are one of the most famous types of outdoor footwear in Britain. Since their invention in the early 19th century, Wellington boots have gone through several changes in fabric and design but retain their individual style and purpose. Hunter Wellington boots are one brand that is particularly iconic, representing rural life and pastimes enjoyed in the British countryside.

However, it is not just in Britain that Wellington boots have proven popular. They are enjoyed all over the world, in places such as Australia, Canada, and Africa. There are differences in use and colour, but they are essentially the same Wellington boots that we all know and love.

In Australia and New Zealand, wellies are known as gumboots and are used in a whole range of workplaces, such as farms, operating theatres, and abattoirs. The self-proclaimed Gumboot capital of the world is a town in New Zealand where the humble welly is celebrated in yearly competitions.

In Britain, when we imagine Wellington boots we think of them as typically being green, whereas in Canada the favourite welly colour is black. Canadians are also particularly fond of red, green, and yellow soled Wellington boots and particularly warm wellies are used outdoors during the colder months of winter.
